068: Teaching at the Gym

Welcome to Episode 68 of the Teachonomy Talks podcast. In this episode I focus on the similarities we can see between working out in the gym and teaching in the classroom. My goal is to inspire you to reflect a little deeper into your own teaching and encourage others to do the same.

Teaching in the classroom is a lot like working out in the gym. It takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to meet the goals you set out to achieve. It takes a lot of commitment and dedication. It may even take a trainer somewhere along the way to help tweak a few techniques. In the end, our students will always benefit greatly when we take the time to use the right weight, the proper machine, and the correct form.

Listen to today’s episode to delve a little deeper into these three areas and reflect on your teaching today.
