086: ‘Thoughts for Teachers’ Series: The POWER of the Word ‘Teacher’

Welcome to Episode 86 of the Teachonomy Talks podcast. This is the first episode of our SUMMER SERIES! In this series, I will take about 5-7 minutes to focus on a single thought to ponder. My goal is to give you something to reflect on at the end of each episode that you will be able take with you as you enjoy your day. Our first thought of our this series will focus on the POWER that is found in the WORD Teacher, and how YOU have the ability to help define it to the many students you teach each day.

Today’s Reflection:

We have the chance to make kids around the world either walk away, uncomfortable, when they hear the word “Teacher,” or perk up and be filled with joy when it is said.

Be mindful of all the interactions that you have with your students because they are always watching. Do what it takes to make sure that no matter where they may be in the world, their memory of you has impacted them in such a positive way that they are filled with joy when they hear the word “Teacher.”
